On Monday, 19th March Maria attended an ICON Textile Group Course entitled “Fosshape™ Workshop”. An exciting opportunity to learn more about a material which is used widely in theatre props and millinery! We use it to create made-to-measure mounts for historic costumes.
Fosshape™ is a non-woven, felt like fabric, containing low melt synthetic polyester fibres that shrink and harden when heat activated. An inert, light-weight fabric which is easy to cut and sew, has a quick drying time and is a great alternative to buckram.
