Conserving the Silk Wall-Coverings in the Boudoir at Arlington Court – A Conclusion

Conserving the Silk Wall-Coverings in the Boudoir at Arlington Court – A Conclusion
June 30, 2019 may

June 2019 saw the completion of the treatment to the silk wall-coverings in the Boudoir of Arlington Court.   It was an enormous honour and pleasure to work on this project, and it has been wonderful how supportive and interested everyone at Arlington Court has been.

The conservators who worked on this with me were: Ksynia Marko, Gerda Koppatz, Annabel Wylie, and Anna Peck.

Below is a link which will take you to Arlington Court’s website where this very interesting conservation treatment is highlighted.  Further links will also be found to three of our blogs which give further in-sight in to the task that was set before us!

With great thanks to all at Arlington Court, from all of us at May Berkouwer Textile Conservation.
