Dyeing and colour matching

For most projects the support fabrics and stitching threads required are not readily available. The colours in the objects can vary, and may need different shades of support in different areas, depending on the degree of soiling and fading that has occurred.

It is usually better to source the correct material and then dye it to match.

The dyeing process always involves one or more rounds of sample dyes, from which the final colour is chosen and repeated to the required quantity.

The studio has the facility to carry out dyeing both in small and larger quantities using high quality Swiss Standard dyes.

We can take commissions to dye small quantities.
